Our new lineup this month isn’t only TV shows; we also have hit movies. Direct from DVD, we’re proud to bring you The Rural Juror, winner of multiple awards worldwide including “Most Unpronounceable Film” at the Cannes Film Festival and “The Daytona High School Movie Night Participation Award.” The seven-hour, one-part film follows Jenna Maroney as a twirler girl whose demure world, spurred by Irma Luhrman-Merman’s murder, is cured by a fervid whirl of her turgid error. It also stars Kari Wuhrer. We are also going to add its sequel, Urban Fervor, to our service.
Guys.

Favorite TV Show: Game of Thrones
I haven’t been riveted by a show and fallen in love with one as quickly and as deeply as I have with GoT since Battlestar Galactica first came around. From the brilliant characters and acting, to the story, the beautiful visuals, the music, and the major risks they took in those ten episodes, GoT is better than almost everything that came out this year. The last two episodes were absolutely perfect, with possibly the most daring, incredible two moments in television this year.
Favorite Video Game: The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Still have not finished this incredible epic, but it is hands down the most beautiful, touching, heartfelt, difficult, and fun game I’ve played this year. And it might be my favorite Zelda ever.
Favorite Movie: Tree of Life
Tree of Life was as grand and as quiet as I could have ever hoped for.
Favorite Album: Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Bon Iver is too short, but those 40 minutes are borderline perfect, and seeing them live (twice!) this year was as close to a perfect concert experience as it can get.

Partyin’ Partyin’ Yeah
Perhaps the icing on the cake of my Comic Con experience was Saturday evening. I took Danny and Oscar to the 20th Century Fox TV SDCC party, where we enjoyed some great food and drinks. Oscar was agog at the celebrities in attendance (Jonah Hill, Katey Sagal, Darren Criss, and Ron Pearlman to name a few), which was fun to see — especially when I happened to know someone he wanted to meet and could make introductions. If the night had ended there it would have been considered a success, but Danny outdid me by getting us into the Entertainment Weekly party where we were rubbing elbows with: George R. R. Martin, Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Joel McHale, the cast of The Vampire Diaries, the cast of The Secret Circle, the cast of Glee, the cast of Teen Wolf, Lucy Lawless, Clark Gregg, the cast of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and Olivia Munn to name a few. There were more, but it was slightly overwhelming and that’s all I can remember at present.
Still seeing stars. What a weekend.
